If you are missing your 4-legged friend, head to the dog beach. You can stroll for over three miles from the tide pools at the south end on the edge of Morro Strand State Beach to the pier at Cayucos. At low tide, the tide pools are fun. No lifeguards but you can also boogie board and surf here.

Dog friendly off leash beach. Not busy in the early AM or after 4pm. Parking along highway 1 and plenty of seashell and rock hunting.
