Eat/Drink like A LOCAL - Taverns & Ramen
LET'S GET OUT OF THE TOURIST AREA where it is overpriced and crowded with people! This tour focuses on Ueno, which is not as crowded as Shibuya, Shinjuku and is less touristy. It is also famous with Japanese foodies for a good quality at reasonable prices. I'm going to take you to popular bars and restaurants for ONLY LOCALS (NO TOURISTS!!) where the staff speaks only Japanese. I will order signature dishes, and we will discuss the food and drink (and you can pepper me with questions). We will visit 4 restaurants/taverns in total, where you will sample sashimi, grilled fish and skewered meat, etc. You will also have the opportunity to try UNIQUE Japanese alcoholic drinks (5 or more different type of drinks) and you'll be able to experience what Japanese taverns are like. After visiting these three taverns, we will end the tour at a great Ramen shop that is popular with locals. At the end of the tour, I will explain which train station you need to go, depending on where you go. You are going to have a full-size meal on the day in several different restaurants included ramen, so again pls come hungry!

Welcome to Tokyo, Japan! Join this 2-hours experience and learn KYUDO, Japanese archery martial art. Don a traditional beautiful KYUDO uniform, channel your inner samurai. and challenge for the target! Usually when the beginner takes up KYUDO in earnest, it takes several months of practice before they are allowed to actually shoot at a target. However, this class lets you go straight into action. But please understand that you are required to practice basic training for 1 hour and basic manners, before you shoot at a target. I will guide you through every step to help you hit the target. Anyway, please keep in mind that not everyone can hit the target, even people who training over 10 years. But there’s more to kyudo than hitting the target; performing these fundamental movements correctly and keeping our mind quiet are also considered important. Then we will walk to the atmospheric alleyways of Omoideyokocho, where we can see a plethora of small Japanese izakayas that mostly offers yakitori or chicken skewers. Then next we will walk to the Kabukicho area, This entertainment district is filled with bright lights, bars, restaurants, and pachinko parlors as well as touts and hustlers. This place is also where you can find the famous Godzilla road and then from there, we will go to the Golden Gai, which is a collection of mismatched tumbledown bars lining alleyways. After this, (IF TIME PERMITS) We can also move to Shibuya, via the JR Yamanote line train and show you the young and vibrant visual of Tokyo. In daytime, we can detour to one of Tokyo’s most popular parks, the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. The park's spacious lawns, meandering walking paths, and tranquil scenery provide a relaxing escape from the busy urban center around it. In this tasting session, you will try 6 different kinds of sake, paired with edible companions. We will discuss what you need to know about sake and how sake flavors change depending on the brand and how it is served, delving into the nuances of Japanese food culture. By the end of this experience, you are not gonna want to take a sake bomb... hopefully. Other things to note Let me know if you have any food allergies or restrictions in advance. The snacks will be light, so please have something small to eat beforehand.
Sushi-making Experience
There are various kinds of sushi, but we will make 5 kinds thi time (Nigiri sushi, Tamagyaki-sushi, winding winding, manual winding, fine winding). Generally there are two kinds of hand grips (kotegaeshi/tategaeshi). I will make sushi by this method. Becuase my shop is a shop that last 100 years, I have inherited the technology you will experienced it. Let's grab it in a sushi craftmanship. And let's make goals that sushi can be made even if yo return home! Let me eat lunch together because I also hold a sushi for you. And if there is something you want to know abot sushi, I will gladly answer. Other things to note There's nothing special to prepare. Please come with casual clothes.

A Day as a Sushi Chef
Let’s become sushi master by spending a half day with sushi chef! This tour consists of two part. First, we will see around Tsukiji fish market where I will explain how each fish differ. Also I will explain a bit about how to make soup with kelp and dried bonito. Second part is, you will experience sushi making, you can make your own sushi! I make some Omakase sushi for you as well. *Note If you join from 12PM, I recommend walking around the market before we meet.
Let us make a kimono(Kimono is a gift)
First of all, let's get to know each other with a simple self-introduction. 1. Choose your favorite antique kimono from over 300 types of kimono. (Kimonos are ranked in 4 levels. There are red stickers, blue stickers, green stickers, and yellow stickers. The price of this experience is the lowest rank red sticker kimono. On the day, You can also choose a different kimono (blue sticker +2000 yen ($15), green sticker +4000 yen ($30), yellow sticker +6000 yen ($45).) 2. Iron the hemming tape and put the loops through which the belt passes. Learn how to remake into a new kimono in various ways. 3. Coordinating the kimono you made with the easy-to-wear obi, obiage, and obi tightening. Wear it and take a photo. Other notes ・Men don't have a part called "ohashiyori" in their kimono. Therefore, men's kimonos cannot be remade to add length. For men, we have an experience to print the family crest and kanji of the name on kimono, haori, juban and make it into a jacket. ・There is an additional charge for purchasing a obi. The Only Real Japanese Archery -Kyudo- Experience in Tokyo
Welcome to Tokyo, Japan! Join this 2-hours experience and learn KYUDO, Japanese archery martial art. Don a traditional beautiful KYUDO uniform, channel your inner samurai. and challenge for the target! Usually when the beginner takes up KYUDO in earnest, it takes several months of practice before they are allowed to actually shoot at a target. However, this class lets you go straight into action. But please understand that you are required to practice basic training for 1 hour and basic manners, before you shoot at a target. I will guide you through every step to help you hit the target. Anyway, please keep in mind that not everyone can hit the target, even people who training over 10 years. But there’s more to kyudo than hitting the target; performing these fundamental movements correctly and keeping our mind quiet are also considered important. That's why KYUDO is regarded as "active ZEN meditation" in Japan. 1. Meeting together, and moving to a training hall 2. Changing cloth 3. Introduction 4. Exercise 5. Trying to hit the target 6. We will meet and start at the busiest train station in the world, Shinjuku station east exit. Then we will walk to the atmospheric alleyways of Omoideyokocho, where we can see a plethora of small Japanese izakayas that mostly offers yakitori or chicken skewers. Then next we will walk to the Kabukicho area, This entertainment district is filled with bright lights, bars, restaurants, and pachinko parlors as well as touts and hustlers. This place is also where you can find the famous Godzilla road and then from there, we will go to the Golden Gai, which is a collection of mismatched tumbledown bars lining alleyways. After this, (IF TIME PERMITS) We can also move to Shibuya, via the JR Yamanote line train and show you the young and vibrant visual of Tokyo. In daytime, we can detour to one of Tokyo’s most popular parks, the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. The park's spacious lawns, meandering walking paths, and tranquil scenery provide a relaxing escape from the busy urban center around it. (Park’s entrance fee not included) The tour is going to be approx. 2 hours. All of these while I take some candid and posed photos of you. There're uncountable Izakaya in Shinjuku but mostly for tourist places sadly. Shinjuku became too famous touristy city already as everyones know. There're many looks local Izakaya but it's just a pretense. Most places are NO tradition, history & great local chef already. Finding great Izakaya in Shinjuku is herd for even Japanese now already so most of the tourist can't jump in the real. I really wanna show U what's REAL Japanese Izakaya culture & who we're Japanese! My places are absolutely different level because best Izakaya have to be combines beautiful atmosphere, history & great taste for me. I’m sure about I can change Ur mind about what’s Izakaya! Pls don’t experience just surface of Japan. Eg. Whale Sashimi, Horse Sashimi, Chicken Sashimi, Sake w/ puffer fish fin w/ fire, Wasabi & plum Yakitori (skewered chicken), sparkling Sake, alcoholic Matcha tea..ex We'll visit 2 Japanese tavern that even Japanese never find!
