Crabbing under the Golden Gate Bridge
We will meet at a pier in the Marina/Presidio district of San Francisco where we will be located near the Golden Gate Bridge. The views of the water will be spectacular and because of the size of the pier we will have more than enough room to spread out and try our techniques. Make sure to arrive early so you can find parking and pay for it if need be near The Warming Hut cafe. Once all the guests have arrived we will learn to set up the equipment we will supply with a very detailed explanation of how and why we use particular gear. Once we have set up our rods, filled our bait in our traps we will learn the different forms of casting and the technique of reeling. Because we are fishing for crab there is a different approach to how you catch crab off of a rod and reel. We will not be allowed to take home any Dungeness crab, unfortunately, because the Bay is a protected estuary. As a result we will be catching rock & red crab which are edible and delicious crabs to take home. This experience is an all weather endeavor so rain or shine we will make it happen. Please join me as many others have to see if spending an afternoon out on the waterfront of the bay, meeting new people and learning a skill is right for you! Great for big groups, corporate outings and team building exercises! Please inquire directly if you have 10+ people www.theartofcrabbing.com

Roast Your Own Coffee
If you’ve ever wondered how to roast coffee at home, this coffee class near San Francisco will teach you everything you need to know! In this fun, hands-on workshop you will learn a new skill and roast your own batch of coffee. Enjoy a coffee from our specialty drinks menu while examining several popular home-roasting methods, some using tools easily found in many homes. This roasting class is great for beginners, and you are welcome to ask questions on any aspect of the world of coffee. Next, a pictorial shows coffee beans as they move through stages of the roast process. Sharpen your senses as green coffee beans are placed in an open roaster and you observe first-hand the sights, sounds, and aromas as beans transform from green to brown. The demonstration brings the roasting process to life and prepares you for the next segment. Here, your guide will explain how to use a handheld roaster over an open-flame stove. Now you take charge as the coffee maestro by pre-heating your ceramic roaster, adding raw beans, and applying a gentle motion while watching the progress of your roast develop to the level you desire. When your session ends you will leave as an accomplished coffee roaster with your personally roasted beans plus a bag of green beans to roast at home. Great for small groups, and great for team-building.

Scared of heights? Rest easy—the route involves no hill climbing! This stroll is guaranteed to entertain, enliven and uplift both visitors and locals alike. **Please, for PRIVATE GROUPS, DM to check availability before booking. **
