This is a very complete museum showing the traditional architecture of the wooden houses and decor around Maramures. I recommend this stop for the first day before going on a road trip to understand the differences and highlights of the culture and be able to appreciate it more during the roadtrip.

Sightseeing
This is one of the eight wooden churches of Maramures in Romania listed as UNESCO world heritage site and my personal favorite. It was build in 1663 and survived the last tartar invasion in 1717. It is really a must see if you appreciate art and history. The priest guarding the church is very kind and knowledgable.

Here you can go for a nice swim. They have a semi olympic pool, a heated pool and spa rooms with steam rooms, sauna, salt jacuzzi hot & cold, anyway, this place is the perfect stop for relaxinggggg! I prefer it very early or after 7pm when there is no much people around. Also offers massage & spa treatments.
