Long stretches of bluffs and beaches, often all to yourself… tide pools, even a blow hole if you know where to go. Mountains to hike and creek canyons to stroll. Our beach fronts are truly a jewel on the Central Coast.
The park has opportunities for biking, kayaking, fishing, hiking and bird watching. The park museum has exhibits that cover Native American life, geology, oceanography and local wildlife. We also have an 18-hole public golf course and a colorful marina that includes a restaurant and kayak rental shack.

Montaña de Oro State Park is one of those places that encompasses all the above! Ocean bluff trails stretch for miles. There are paths for one to follow down to private beach niches :-) amazing rock formations and cool caves.

Of all the Morros in San Luis Obispo County, Black Hill is the easiest to summit. This 661-foot volcanic peak in Morro Bay State Park can be reached by hiking 0.6 miles round trip up a dirt single track with 190 feet of elevation gain and views over the city of Morro Bay. For my guest that are looking for more of a hike to the summit, you can walk there from the Airbnb studio leaving from the front entrance heading south towards Ridgeway Street, turn left and walk straight up approximately one mile. Best sunset location in Morro Bay.

In addition, they rotate a wide variety of guest taps carefully selected for the craft beer lover. Thoughtful pub bites that compliment their beer are served up Wednesday – Sunday.
