Tuktuk/Bajaji is the fast and safe way to get around
Bodaboda or motorcycle taxi is also another cheaper way to move around but its not as safe as using tuktuk or rickshaw taxi. Once you get a nice and trustful rider make sure to get his number so that he can be your reliable rider anytime.

It is very easy to make friends with locals since the Zanzibari people are so welcoming. Trustful locals will always guide you towards cheap and a best possible way to do any activity or purchase

Summer tropical cloths and close shoes
Zanzibar is usually hot through out the year, the winter we experience is rainfall and not cold or snow, I highly recommend to bring summer cloths and close shoe due to dust that can make your feet's pretty ugly at times.
