Hiking
Easily one of the most rewarding hikes in the area, its relatively short 2.7 mile, 2,300 feet ascent gifts you 360-degree views of Mount Baker, Mount Rainier and the Olympics from its old fire shelter lookout. This is one of my favorite hikes, and is located off Highway 92 about 35 miles from my place.
It is a moderate hike, so be sure to take water and snacks. The views at the end are amazing!

My absolute favorite hike in this area! Located up Highway 2, just before Index, WA. A relatively decent ascent, but epic views along the way and worth every step to the end. Lush forest, creeks, waterfall and glacier lake at the end. There is also a supplemental side hike, about 1.5 miles to Bridle Veil Falls (huge waterfall). Bring some snacks, as well as your lunch to chill in front of the glacier on ‘lunch rock!’

Lake Serene

Sightseeing
Boeing offers a tour of their factory as well as future endeavors in flight. This is a must see while visiting and is about 5 minutes from my place!

This is a great spot to enjoy on an afternoon. Lots to see and great places to eat, have an ice cream or a coffee (Ivars, Diamond Knot Brewery, Red Cup Coffee). Beautiful beach park where you can watch the ferries, take a walk and enjoy an epic sunset.

Whidbey Island, Coupeville and Oak Harbor… A must go, so much to see and list! The best part, the Ferry Terminal to get there is about 7 mins from my place! Every year I go cycling around Whidbey, it’s so amazing!
