This is an incredible area to visit within walking distance of the house. The lower bluffs are amazing, there you can see otters playing, leopard seals, sea lions, pelicans and many other interesting birds. And if you are lucky and patient you'll spot dolphins and whales. This its a 2.5 mile round trip from my house.
On the upper part of the preserve there's a Monarch butterfly sanctuary.
