A historic, cozy loft cabin in the heart of the township. With its own spacious garden surroundings and offstreet carpark. Comfortable queen bedroom upstairs and downstairs kitchen and nook lounge, shower and toilet. Cosy and quaint, perfect for a short or long stay and very close to all restaurants and town facilities. Everything you need for a home away from home base while you holiday or work.

The space is perfectly quirky! Romantic for couples on holiday or practical and easy for workers/visitors needing a base home-away-from-home. There are stairs to the bedroom - take these slow and carefully - they are steep! We have a goldfish sharing the lounge room - don’t feed him - we do that - but feel free to say good morning to him! The kitchen has a fridge, stove and everything to cook up a storm. We try to include some herbs and condiments so you can feel like you're at home. Shower and toilet is equipped with all towels, soaps etc. the lounge has a TV and small table and chairs for two. The Dolls House is a landmark of the township and part of the history of Kangaroo Island. We've thought of most everything you need to be comfy and hope you enjoy your stay. But if you find something is missing I am only a few blocks away for help and assistance.

You have access to the whole house - little as it is! Bazza the owner lives in a separate house adjacent and far away enough not to disturb you unless you want to wander over for a chat. He's lived here longer than me and knows a great deal about the Island's history - he's also good for a dad joke or 10!

Kangaroo Island can be tricky - there are some very unique things about our island home - but don't be afraid to ask away! If you're coming by ferry there is an information kiosk in Penneshaw.

Kingscote is the main township of KI, about 1600 people live and work around these parts. Its about a 40 min drive from the ferry disembarkation point of Penneshaw or 20 min to the airport. Doctors, chemist, banks, post office and the supermarket are all in walking distance as well as the restaurants and shops. Fish n chips from a caravan at the end of the road where the sea and tidal pool are can be enjoyed as the sun sets after a big day of touring or work.
