Welcome to Rathtrevor Beach Retreat. This luxury townhouse with its high quality furnishings and well-appointed outdoor patio is the perfect setting for a relaxing time with family, friends, or as a couples get-away. Enjoy this comfortable and spacious 1300 sq. ft. 3-bedroom, 2-bath vacation home nestled among old-growth Douglas fir forests and Craig Bay. Explore miles of beach and enjoy many nearby amenities including hiking, mini-golf, restaurants, spas, swimming pools, and shopping.

Pamper yourself in the sizeable bathrooms with in-floor heating, tiled counters and showers, including a deep soaker bathtub in the master suite (hair dryer provided). We're pleased to provide locally sourced all-natural shampoo and body wash, as well as ultra-soft waffle weave cotton robes (2). Create your favourite meals in the full-size gourmet kitchen complete with granite counters, island/bar, and stainless steel appliances (side by side fridge/freezer with water/ice maker, gas range with electric convection oven and microwave). Dine and relax in a beautiful park-like setting on the ocean-facing outdoor patio, complete with new natural gas BBQ, dining table for 6 and luxurious outdoor furniture. Watch your favourite shows on our new 50" TV or surf online in the comfy living room featuring gleaming Beech hardwood floors, leather furniture, 9-foot ceilings, and gas fireplace. Wifi Internet, a landline for local calls, TV, DVD, puzzles, games, and a few select novels; as well as a washer/dryer/hair dryer are provided for your convenience. Pack up our collapsible wagon with provided lawn chairs and beach towels and head to Rathtrevor beach, a short walk down the property's paved road (slight decline). We take great pride in offering you, our guests, this luxurious accomodation. We're pleased to report in March 2021, our townhouse interior has just been freshly painted and we've upgraded the master bedroom with new furnishings and a king bed. We hope you will also enjoy some new quality wood pieces of west coast "live edge" and Douglas fir, and a selection of new framed giclee art by a leading photographer here on the Island.

Terms of the Agreement:
1. Courtesy hold reservations: For maximum fairness for all, we operate on a first-reserved, first-served basis without discrimination. 50% of rent, along with a $500.00 damage deposit is required to secure a reservation. Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt of payment. Full payment of balance is due 60 days prior to rental period.
2. Reservation guarantee: If our property is damaged due to events outside of our control such as a fire, earthquake, etc. and we can therefore not fulfill a reservation, the Guests will be given a 100% refund. Travel insurance is recommended to protect you against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.
3. Cancellation by Guests: 100% refund of all fees and deposits is given on notice of 60 days or more. Between 59 and 30 days prior to rental period, a 50% refund of all fees and deposits will be given. Inside 29 days of occupancy, all payments are non-refundable.
* During the COVID-19 pandemic, we strongly encourage any guest to cancel should they feel unwell. A 100% refund will be offered should this occur.
4. Access: The Owner or Owner’s Representative has the right to inspect the premises without prior notice at any time to enforce the terms of this agreement. Should the Guests violate any of the terms of this agreement, within reason, the rental period shall be terminated immediately. The Guests waive all rights to process if they fail to vacate the premises upon termination of the rental period. The Guests shall vacate the premises at the expiration time and date of this agreement; otherwise additional fees will apply.
5. Telephone: A landline telephone is not provided. Please note that in British Columbia/Canada, Emergency medical and police service can be reached by dialing ‘911’.
6. Maintenance of unit: The Guests shall maintain the premises in a reasonable and tidy clean condition, and use the premises only in a careful and lawful manner. All dishes shall be cleaned, dishwasher emptied and put away in cupboards before leaving. Non-compliance may result in an additional cleaning fee charge.
7. Housekeeping services: Unless otherwise specified, housekeeping services are provided only after check out or just prior to check in. Stays longer than 2 weeks will require an additional professional cleaning service by our cleaning team. An additional fee will apply as per service provided.
8. Waste and recycling: The Guests shall dispose of all waste materials generated during the rental period in a lawful manner and place the trash and recyclables in the assigned bins located on the Tanglewood property for pickup. Note that there is a special recycling bin specifically for glass located at the second station further up the road. It is not permitted to leave trash or recycling outside the home.
9. Damage: The Guests shall be liable for any damage done to the premises, including contents/furnishings over and above normal wear and tear and are responsible for ensuring that these policies are respected and adhered to. Guests release the Owners from any and all liability for theft or injury while in transit to the property, while at the property, or on resort lands.
11. No subletting: The Guests shall not sublet the property.
12. Maximum six people: The Guests shall have no more than 6 (six) persons reside or sleep on the premises, with the primary renter of 30 years of age or older.
13. Quiet and respectful behavior: The Guests shall behave in a civilized manner and shall be good neighbors respecting the rights of the surrounding property owners. The Guests shall not create noise or other disturbances likely to disrupt or annoy the surrounding property owners. NO PARTIES ARE ALLOWED at our home or on the property. Strata rules: quiet time must be observed between 10 pm and 8 am; outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum.
14. No smoking: SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED in the unit OR on Tanglewood grounds and is strictly enforced. Non-compliance will result in significant charges and possible eviction.
15. Amenities and provisions: This unit is equipped and set up as a fully furnished property that will include: bed sheets, linens, blankets, pillows, towels, hairdryer, fully equipped kitchen, in-suite laundry, TV/DVD, BBQ, etc. For the Guests’ convenience - toilet paper; paper towels; hand soap; shampoo; shower gel; dish soap, and dishwasher and laundry detergent are supplied but will not be replaced if consumed during stay. No reimbursement will be made for unused consumables left at the premises by the Guest. Additional cleaning products and supplies are to be used as needed and must not be removed from the premises.
16. Indemnity: The Guests, and their guests shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Owner against any and all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from use of the premises regardless of the nature of the accident, injury or loss. Guests expressly recognize that any insurance for property damage or loss that the Owner may maintain on the property does not cover the personal property of Guests, and that Guests should purchase their own insurance for themselves, and their guests, if such coverage is desired.
17. Security: The Guests shall see to their own security while in the property by locking doors, windows etc. when it is prudent to do so.
18. Legal costs: The Guests agree to pay all reasonable costs, lawyer's fees and expenses that shall be made or incurred by Owner enforcing this agreement.
19. Transient agreement: The Guests expressly acknowledge and agree that this Agreement is for transient occupancy of the Property, and that Guests do not intend to make the property a residence or household.
20. Power outages: We occasionally experience power outages that are beyond our control. We report outages as each occurs. No refunds or compensation will be given for any outages.
21. No refunds: There shall be no refunds of rents due to shortened stays or ruined expectations because of weather conditions, work and/or family emergencies or other events.
22. Occupation for legal purposes only: The Guests shall use the property for legal purposes only and other use, such as but not limited to, illegal drug use, abuse of any person, harboring fugitives, etc. shall cause termination of this agreement with no refund of rents or deposits.
23. No access to ‘owner’s storage room’ located in front bedroom. It contains personal items and supplies. Please note that the light switch to the ‘owner’s storage room’ is located in the front bedroom and should be kept in the “off” position.
24. Gas fireplace: The Guests are advised that the property contains a gas fireplace; they should seek help from the Owner or Owner’s Representative if the proper operation thereof is not fully understood. The Guests should exercise caution, especially with children around the lit fireplace, as the glass panel gets hot.
25. Fire extinguisher: The property has 2 fire extinguishers (one hung on a post by the kitchen island, a second larger one in the laundry closet). The fire extinguishers were fully charged at time of last inspection. It is the duty of the Guests to immediately inform the Owner or Owner’s Representative should they become aware that the fire extinguishers have become less than fully charged. The Guests agree to use the fire extinguishers only for true emergencies.
26. Fire/smoke alarms: The property has fire/smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors installed and they are believed to function properly at the time of rental. The Guests will notify Owner or Owner’s Representative without delay if an alarm or detector ‘chirps’ or has a low battery condition.
27. Storage of bikes, paddleboards and other large sporting equipment: Bikes and other large sporting equipment are not to be brought in or stored in the unit; rather, they should be kept on the beachfront patio. Guests are advised to bring a security lock device should they wish to secure such equipment.
28. Parking: 1 car parking space is provided in the space marked ‘30’ located at the front of the unit. If needed, additional guest parking spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis at clearly labeled locations on the property.
29. Any items left behind by Guests will, if found, be held by the Owner or Owner’s Representative, and every reasonable effort will be made to contact the Guests for return of said items. If items are not claimed within 3 months they shall become the property of the Owner. The Owner shall not be held liable for condition of said items.
30. Cable TV: Cable TV is provided, with the service level chosen by the Owner. No refund of rents shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, or personal preferences with regard to cable TV service.
31. Wireless Internet: Complementary wireless Internet is provided as a convenience only and is not integral to the agreement. No refund of rents shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, speed, access problems, lack of knowledge of use, or personal preferences with regard to the wireless Internet service.
32. Privacy: The Owner agrees to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner agrees to not use the Guests personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guest.
