Cosy Wave is walking distance to beach, shops and tavern. The Steamranger train can be seen from front yard.

Middleton is a quiet township with a popular Tavern for meals and local bakery and cafe. Supermarket open each day. Surf Shop and surf lessons available.

Middleton Beach is a well known surf beach, nestled between Port Elliot and Goolwa. The larger town of Victor Harbor is approx 10 minutes drive. Whale watching season July to October, when Southern Right Whales migrate to frolic and calve in the warmer waters. Several viewing points can be found in Middleton and surrounds. Tour Down Under riders can be seen riding in the area during January each year.

There is a small beach area with large drifts of shells, including cowries, and rock pools to explore. Seals and dolphins are often sighted off shore.

Fishing is a popular pastime on many of the beaches in the area, as well as at the mouth of the Murray River in Goolwa. Middleton is also a short drive from a number of local wineries including the famous McLaren Vale region.

I live in Adelaide with my partner and we love spending time by the sea and river when time permits. We now have adult children who have spent many happy times at Middleton. We enjoy holidaying with our camper trailer as well as some overseas travel, but plan to see as much of Australia as we can in the future. We have always had a dog by our side and welcome special pets to stay with their owners at ‘Melba’s Place’.
