Not only is the comfort of our guests our priority so is your health. Our home is professionally cleaned by a registered cleaning company that is following strict government health department guidelines with regards to products and surfaces cleaned between guests stays. Including all surfaces light switches door handles/knobs and remote controls. Our Australian Govt Health infection Control Training COVID-19 certificates are in in the welcome book and photographs in listing for your viewing.
COVID CANCELATION POLICY
Again thank you for your interest in Puppies and Pancakes.
As you are no doubt aware, small businesses have been significantly impacted over the past 18mths, as a result of Covid restrictions.
Like many other Australians, Airbnb hosts have incurred significant financial losses as a result.
Consequently, we are currently not accepting bookings from interstate guests who may be subjected to snap lockdowns and border closures in the present climate.
We will gratefully accept bookings from Qld guests and in the event of local Covid lockdowns, we will do our best to move the impacted guests to another date - or offer a refund where possible.
In these incredibly unprecedented and difficult times, Airbnb hosts are working hard to continue to provided ‘homes away from home’, so that guests can travel, as desired.
As small businesses though, we must do what we can to minimise future potential losses …at least in the interim

We would love to welcome and host you at our special beach home.

Puppies and Pancakes is a ground level fully self-contained, newly renovated 2 bedroom unit. It is ground level with private entry and uncovered driveway, parking for two cars. (Or car and boat/caravan). The unit has two large sets of bi-fold doors opening to a large fully fenced backyard. Guests have exclusive use of the yard. We have beautiful upstairs unit tenants, who are also friendly love dogs and extremely courteous of our valued guests. The yard is 3 sides 6ft timber fencing one small section across driveway entry is standard pool fencing.

Sit and enjoy all year round sea breezes that flow through the huge bi-fold doors and relax while you and the fur babies can easily walk in and out. This property has a true inside outside experience. The unit is fully installed with ceiling fans and the amazing sea breezes keep it a constant temperature Please note for this reason the property is NOT air conditioned, if you are heat sensitive please do not book in summer if you are use to a fully air conditioned home. We find it always cool but we want guests to be fully aware we cool with sea breeze insulation and ceiling fans - With doors closed you loose its daytime magic. we choose to have the bi folds fully open to let the magic in, this includes the sound of the ocean its breeze and much bird life. To use there is a magic to these doors open


This property does not cater for babies or children under the age of 5. (We have sadly had incidents with the big heavy metal bifold doors and little fingers. It’s too stressful for us and we have no child safety measures in cupboards or way of having the bifold folds safe from little fingers )
The unit is a great size for one or two couples that just want to relax in a quiet neighbourhood; or a single can enjoy all we have to offer. Reminder it’s two bedroom 2 queen beds. As we take on more Puppies and Pancakes properties we hope to make them fully fur child and human child friendly and safe as possible.
We go above and beyond to ensure the comfort of our guests taking care of all the little things

The backyard is for the sole use of this units guests and is NOT shared with the upstairs unit tenants, who are also friendly and extremely courteous of our valued guests.

As much as fur babies are very welcome on this property, it is clear in our house rules they cannot be left unattended to bark they bark when left or suffer anxiety We need to be considerate of our neighbours; when it comes to barking dogs. Please do not lock your dog inside as the sound is only made worse as it will echo.

We allow your dog’s inside as we believe they are family members. We prefer dogs didn’t go on the furniture; however we do understand that some dogs are very used to lying on the couch. If they are accustomed to the finer things in life, we ask that you use the dog blankets and towels provided - However we really appreciate guest that bring their own dog towels and throws to protect our funiture as it saves us a lot of linen washing time. It also helps preserve our furniture and keeps it clean for future guests. This applies to the lounges only as dogs are strictly not permitted on the beds.
DOGS are not permitted on the beds. If your fur baby insists on sleeping with you, then we must know in advance on booking and you are welcome to bring your own linen including your own doona's, we will then strip out beds back to bare mattress protector status as our linen is not for fur baby guest use.


150m to the foreshore, so you can hear the ocean while sitting in the backyard. Less than 1km easy flat (walk, or drive) to beach access, 1.5km flat (walk, or drive) to start of Coolum Township. Bus stop is only 50m away. 1km to access rd., leading to dog lead free beach.

KITCHEN – Fully equipped, oven cook top, microwave, dishwasher all pots pans etc. Pod coffee machine, electric fry pan, blender, jug and toaster.

PANTRY – You will find a range of Tea’s, coffee sugar, cereals and condiments. The Pantry also has basic everyday items such as salt, pepper cooking oil, cook spray, foils and plastic wrap. If you are staying for a few days please check pantry and kitchen draws before you shop you are welcome to use what we provide and is there. We kindly ask guest to replace any of these sorts of items if they use the last of them. It's a courtesy to future guests.

Please note this property is self catering beyond the initial products we supply at the beginning of your stay

FUR BABY Numbers and behavior - YES FURRY family members are allowed inside the unit, please read house rules for full details. We like to keep the bog maximum at 2 dogs per booking, if you have more than two fur family members, then please mention this to us in your booking request and it will be taken into consideration, not always the number of fur babies it is always the behavior that is of concern. Coolum is a very dog friendly town you will find the outside of cafes and restaurants very welcoming of your fur family members and the dog lead free beaches are only 1km away. All details in welcome book. Your Fur baby is not to be left unattended if it barks when unattended; this would be a clear breach of the house rules.

Fences - Back yard is for use of guests only. 3 sides of yard are 6ft timber fence one small section across driveway entry is standard pool fencing. 900mm gap.


LOUNGE – TV, Smart TV 50" with Wi-Fi allows you to watch your multimedia content gives access to watch your Netflix, Stan or YouTube. (You must have your own Netflix or Accounts to log into we just supply the smart TV and Wi-Fi/NBN)

DVD player and a selection of DVD's. Small Bluetooth speaker box to enjoy the music you bring with you as you relax. BOOKS AND BOARD GAMES also available for you to read or play. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and lounge areas enhance the sea breeze, as it comes through the large bi-folds. It is a rare day there is no sea breeze. The unit is fully insulated so maintains a lovely constant temperature all year round.

Wi-Fi – Free NBN Wi-Fi password is waiting for you in the "Welcome book". STUDY DESK in study nook Free Wi-Fi (NBN) although we have installed the NBN, the best internet connection for our property, unfortunately the Sunshine Coast is known for unreliable internet and this is out of our control.

BBQ: Guests are responsible for gas and doing the right thing, if you use gas, please replace for future guests and don't forget to clean it after use. (Rules for BBQ use are outlined in welcome book)

OUTSIDE DINNING or lounging in the chairs while you watch your puppies play in the backyard; or if traveling without your dog then enjoy the sound of the ocean and relax.


STRICT NO SMOKING: BODY CORP RULES STATE “NO SMOKING” INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE PROPERTY AS SMOKE WILL TRAVEL UP TO THE UNIT ABOVE.

Bus stop is 50m away and Courtesy buses will call to your doorstep for bowls club or Coolum Beach hotel. Phone numbers for Courtesy buses are in the information draw; Coolum Beach is located just 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to Noosa.

Off street parking for two cars or a car and boat will also fit.

For guests staying 3 weeks or more we do a complimentary clean of bathroom toilets and floors. Bed Linen is supplied and can be washed by guests or you can pay for change over by cleaner for those staying more than one week are available, extra cleans and linen changes are available are a small fee of $35 per hour. If not we provide enough linen for guests to wash themselves in the units machine
Tracey lives locally and is happy to do this, as she also does the exit cleans.
We supply start up essentials/consumables like tea coffee and toilet paper etc however the unit is self catering after they are gone for long term guests.

For the avid water skier like my husband, OZ Ski Resort is a 7 min drive away for world class slalom/jump or trick ski coaching or if you just want to learn to ski or wake board.

The home is surrounded by friendly neighbours in a very quiet area. The property sits at the base of Emu Mountain, a popular place to walk for amazing views. The ocean is a short 1 kilometre walk away along the bike path.
