Urban food tour with Panama blogger
Get ready for an immersive tasting menu as you get to experience the real Panama - from the gritty to the most Instagramable, and everything in between. Our day starts in the historic Casco Viejo neighborhood at a trendy rooftop where everyone in the group will get to know each other. I’ll give you the quickest history lesson on Panama City and how it’s changed throughout its development before we start our adventure. We will then walk a few blocks to one of the most luxurious hotels in the neighborhood to try a street food delicacy gone gourmet. Next, we’ll head to Santa Ana, the most vibrant part of the city where locals still live. We will visit my friend’s chocolate shop where you’ll get to try some unique treats, take photos in front of colorful street art, and walk down Panama City's only pedestrian avenue to buy fresh ingredients for our mojito-making workshop later on. From here, we are going to ride the underground metro to the city center to explore the laid-back Via Argentina neighborhood. While here, we’ll be eating at an old-school restaurant to try classic Panamanian food with a twist. For our last stop, we are GOING UP to a rooftop bar for a mojito-making workshop where you’ll get to make your own cocktail while watching the sun go down over the city and try fresh ceviche.

Jungle hike and Embera lifestyle
I will pick you up at your accommodation in Panama City or meeting point if desired and head to the Chagres National Park. Once at the port by the Chagres River, the friendly Embera villagers will take us in a traditional boat by this river, the main source of water for the Panama Canal. We will leave the boat at one shore of the river where we will the hike through a trail in real jungle, this is walking over dirt and/or mud crossing a creek several times to a hidden and pristine waterfall where we will swim in shallow and crystal clear water, then we will hike by the same trail back to the boat and head to the village where you will be welcomed by the Embera community. There, we will have fruits and lunch while the nocó (chief) share with us about their way of life inside a traditional huts without walls to allow air circulation. This time is complemented by a performance of their traditional music and dance. Finally, we will go back to the port and then rest in the car while you enjoy the way back to your accomodation in Panama City. Something to note: The trail is in the jungle (as is) so this experience might be challenging o not suitable for people with reduced mobility however I had people with knee surgeries completing the hike so we can do it together!
Sailing to Remote Caribbean Beaches on Catamaran with Lunch
Spend a unique day with us by sailing the Panamanian Caribbean coast. We have more than 15 years experience and we're happy to share our knowledge with you while sailing to beautiful tropical beaches, which are only accessible via sea. Pick-up is at 7am at your accommodation in Panama City, and we'll drive almost 2 hours to Portobelo, which is a historic port built by the Spanish in 1597. Once at the dock, we'll get to the Catamaran by speedboat. After a short briefing, we'll navigate to our first stop: Blues Veins. Here we'll explore the interior lagoon by dinghy, and then stop at its heavenly beach, where you can have a walk, swim and do snorkeling to observe beautiful corals and starfish. Then back to the boat we'll have lunch prepared with local products (different dietary options available). After we'll sail for 20 minutes to get to our next stop: Playa Blanca, a white-sand beach named after the pirate, since he died not very far from there. Here its crystal clear water and corals make it the perfect spot for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, and paddle-boarding. From there we'll sail back to Portobelo and take you back to the city. If you easily get seasick, you can bring along some preventive meds and will also give you tips on how to feel better. Don't miss the chance to sail to remote spots and make new international friends.

The Cacao today is still considered among indigenous groups throughout America as a gift from the Gods for its benefits and all the wonders it offers. At Nomé we want to share with you our passion for chocolate, show you its process, how we enhance local cacao and turn it into pieces of art that represent and taste like Panama. Our day will start in Via Argentina, a hip neighborhood in the city center. We will start at an independent coffee shop to have empanadas and Panamanian coffee (or another beverage if you don't drink coffee) so that we are energized for the day. From here we will walk to the metro station and take it to the closest point to where we will begin our urban jungle hike. During our journey, you will also learn why this was an area that Panamanians were once not allowed to enter and how they were finally able to step foot back into their own land. From the top, you’ll see a 360-degree view of the skyscrapers, ocean, and Panama Canal. The walk from the metro station to the top of the hill and back down is approximately 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) so we’ll be getting our steps in for the day!
