Step back into time and virtually experience the empty streets of Prague during the Black Death and plagues of the 17th and 18th centuries. Through video, we'll follow the footsteps of Dr. Alexander Schamsky, an unknown Czech hero who fought the plague in 1713. From the “personal protective equipment” of the time to the deserted landmarks of the city, you’ll immerse yourself in the forgotten history of the pneumonic and bubonic plagues. Our recorded video has no audio as we comment everything live we see. The movie was shot with a professional camera during times of quarantine and shows the abandoned old town.
One of our 5 Plague Doctors will take you on the journey to visit the famous Charles Bridge, walk around the Old Town Square, and go into the Jewish Quarter, discovering hidden gems in the dark streets. We´ll stop by the old St. Francis hospital and conclude the tour at the convent of St. Agnes. So, not only will you traverse time, but you’ll also get the sense of travel—all from the comfort of your home.

Really enjoyed the storytelling, our plague doctor was quite humorous, and the ability to answer the questions articulately and engage with the audience directly made this a very positive experience.

Learned a lot of fun facts beyond what I learned in junior high & Monty Python. It's a fun experience and conversation to have during a time when we can't travel!

I appreciated that this is one of the more creative online experience offerings focused on a niche topic, they did a great job with the presentation and set up even though the video didn't virtually transport me to the city as much as I thought it would (I'll blame the connection). In the end though, it felt way more like a trivia night or meant for families / people who don't know anything about European history which I wasn't expecting (I'll blame not reading enough reviews). Would highly recommend this experience if that's what you are looking for or just a little entertainment, it's perfect for that. But for those who are hoping for something more in-depth and a meaningful cultural experience over a touristy one, then you might be disappointed.

David was very personable, polite, and kind. The way they've adapted their tour experience to a virtual platform was very well done - the silent video of the tour route with the live guided discussion worked out really well!
