Half Day Authentic Thai Cooking Class in Organic Farm
At Grandma’s Home Cooking School, we do not only teach you how to cook traditional Thai dishes but also culturally give you some tricks so you can adapt, find substitute ingredients in your own country, cook by yourself, and spend time cooking with your beloved family. After picking you up from the hotel, we will spice up your morning with a small journey to a local Thai fresh market. There, you will experience the actual culture and vibe of the people in the community. It might seem a bit chaotic from the outside view but, after spending some time there, you’ll feel a warm-hearted welcoming without being noticed. Also we will give a closer look at the local varieties of Thai seasoning, sauce, and paste for our menu. At this point, you’ll learn how and what they are made of. In Northern Thai, the people are family-oriented, therefore, we don’t just go out, do the shopping, cook, and eat. We spend and enjoy quality time together with the family and that is how we learn our traditional cooking process from generations for centuries. At the school, the first thing we’ll do is to explore our farm. We have a mushroom house, chicken barn, and vegetable garden. They are all 100% organic. There you will learn how to choose the vegetables before we roll. Our school is 100% eco-friendly and sustainable.Join us and experience grandma’s love at Grandma’s Home Cooking School

Chiang Mai Northern Food Tour by Truck
Get your taste buds ready for the ride because there is nothing quite like Northern Thai cuisine. I limit my daily small-group street food tour to just 8 exclusive guests. We’ll bounce between 5-6 different spots into the city to try more than 15 different tastings. We’ll delve into the history and eating culture of this region, diving into a plate of khao kha moo (braised pork in five spices) at a vendor once visited by Anthony Bourdain. Then we'll move around in our own private songthaew truck, visiting one of the best food markets in the country. Here we’ll eat and learn about the different ingredients that go into making the Thai dishes. You simply can’t visit Northern Thailand within trying the herby larb, sticky gaeng hang lay curry and sai oua sausage. Nor can you skip the tea and tamarind leaf salads brought in during the 2 centuries of Burmese rule We’ll also visit Chiang Mai’s Chinatown where you’ll try herby nam ngiaw noodles and other local snacks. Come join me on a fascinating food tour! (Sorry, this tour is not suitable for those that don't eat pork, or vegetarians and pescatarians, as you'll have to miss several dishes, with no alternatives available. A gluten intolerance is ok only if soy sauce can be consumed. Shrimp paste makes its way into many dishes, so shellfish allergies may be a problem. For any food allergies, please message us before booking)
Tour the Colorful Chiang Rai Temples
The main attraction of this tour is the White Temple. If you’re looking for ancient ruins, you might be surprised to find a modern architectural masterpiece designed and built by local artist Chaloemchai Khositphiphat. The Blue Temple or Wat Rong Seua Ten literally translates to ‘temple of the dancing tiger.’ It was built on a site where tigers were said to have jumped over the river. If the White Temple was meant to be a stairway to heaven, the Black House has been called a “dark, mysterious, and almost sadistic” representation of hell, complete with preserved animals and a collection of bones. Built by Thailand national artist Thawan Duchanee (who incidentally was the mentor of Chaloemchai, the White Temple guy), the Baan dam Museum (Black House) is a cluster of nearly 40 small shadowy structures exhibiting art dating back to the Ayutthaya period. This is truly something the likes of which we’ll never see anywhere else! Other things to note IMPORTANT: IF AVAILABLE, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR HOTEL NAME AND ADDRESS BEFORE COMPLETING THE PAYMENT. Free pick-up from central city of Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas of the Old City Wall in Chiang Mai Provincel. Otherwise, the designated meeting point is the Thapae Gate in Chiang Mai Old City.
Explore Doi Inthanon National Park
Rising 2,565m above sea level is Thailand’s highest peak Doi Inthanon. The peak lies to the east of its Himalayan cousins, surrounded by hiking trails, stunning waterfalls, and two monumental stupas dedicated to the king and queen. Perfect for adventurers and culture enthusiasts alike, this tour will take you through picturesque landscapes, remote villages, and incredible viewpoints. Our first stop is one of the largest and the most beautiful waterfalls in the country, the Wachirathan Waterfall. Then we’ll head to the amazing Sirithan Waterfall. This stunning 50-meter cascade, fed by the Mae Klan River from Doi Inthanon’s peak, is perfectly hidden deep in the pine forest. Next we’ll stop at the famous twin pagodas: the Napamatanee Don and Napaphon Bhumisiri. After lunch, we’ll burn off all that pad thai with a bit of “mini-hiking” at the Angka Nature Trail. We’ll then visit a Karen Tribe locale where we will learn a bit about the tribes people’s culture and way of life, as we explore their village of Sobhad. NOTE: This experience doesn't include entrance fees, please bring cash for entrances IMPORTANT: PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR HOTEL NAME AND ADDRESS. Free pick-up only for customers in the central city of Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas of the Old City Wall in Chiang Mai Province only. If not, we will meet at meeting point.

Catch the Golden Sunrise at Doi Suthep
Doi Suthep Temple nicknamed after its mountain home is known for its spectacular views. While the 306-staircase may seem daunting for some travelers, the unrivaled view at the top is well worth the exercise. See the Doi Suthep sunrise light up the sky with a rainbow of golden hues as you document this experience in Chiang Mai with a few photos. After the Doi Suthep Sunrise Tour, we’ll visit the large golden Kruba Srivichai Monument, named after the Thai Buddhist monk (who was also an engineer) who built many temples and roads during the late 80s and early 90s. We’ll head to Wat Pha Lat, a hidden temple where we’ll take in the lush jungles and serene statues and shrines. We’ll wrap up our half day morning tour with a stop at Wat U-Mong next, a 700-year old temple built back in 1297. Explore the underground tunnels, forest surroundings and marvel at the magnificent chedi. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your accommodation or the meeting point to finish a day well spent.
